Foodscape

  • A contraction of two words: food and landscape

The mission of Regenerative Foodscapes is to help restore our relationship with food and nature by creating gardens and landscapes that contribute to the flourishing of it’s human inhabitants in tandem with the ecological web of life that surrounds, embodies and interacts with the space.

The Big Idea

Despite the illusions of modern society that can make us feel separate from nature, we seek to bring our inherent ecological connectedness back to the forefront of our consciousness and lived experience. As interconnected parts of the whole, we humans have a uniquely powerful impact on the web of life that surrounds and sustains us. Therefore, we believe there is a high call upon us to steward well the land and spaces under our care.

Shlomy Goldman started Regenerative Foodscapes in 2023 with a vision to bring together his passions and experiences of over 20 years working on farms, gardens, in carpentry, natural building, and education. After 5 years developing an edible landscape and teaching farming at Lexington Montessori School, Shlomy moved back to his home state of Rhode Island and is excited to be working with his clients to create the edible and ecological landscapes of their dreams. Shlomy is Permaculture Design Certified, and is a bonafide nature lover and plant nerd. A lifelong learner, he continues his personal education and professional development, currently working on becoming a Rhode Island Certified Horticulturist. Shlomy approaches his jobs with intentionality and attention to detail, valuing integrity and humility. He strives for the highest quality work, and utilizes a network of professionals and colleagues when needed. He loves working with clients in the spirit of trust and collaboration working towards a unified vision and goal together.
